The Sialkot International Airport will be down for 16 days in December in order to do maintenance.

On Saturday, the Civil Aviation Authority made public a notification that stated the airport was closing. According to the notification, the airport will be closed from December 5 to December 20.

It is possible to use the airports in Lahore and Islamabad. Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, will have two weekly flights starting last week, according to Airblue, one of the country’s leading private airlines.

On Mondays and Thursdays, this route will be operated by the airline; the first flight will leave on November 21. According to Sialkot’s airport administration, the runway will need to be fixed.

Customers will be able to bring up to 7 kilogram of hand luggage on Airblue’s new bi-weekly flight.
